We will start your 2-day tour from Errachidia to Merzouga by picking you up at Moulay Ali Cherif Airport (Errachidia airport) or your hotel in Errachidia. We will continue descending through the beautiful Ziz Valley, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint to take some wonderful photos. Continuing our adventure, we will travel through Erfoud, known as the “Capital of Fossils”. When we arrive in Merzouga, we will be greeted by an experienced camel guide and friendly camels who will take us on a lovely half-hour ride through the fascinating dunes of Merzouga. We will spend the night in a desert camp under a starry sky.
Today, on your Errachidia to Merzouga desert tour, we will start with a delicious breakfast at your desert camp, followed by a camel ride back to Merzouga town. Afterwards, we drive to Rissani, the historical foundation of the current royal family. It is still an important place for trade and has a large market that is very busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Afterwards, we visit a workshop where they make fossilized marble objects in Erfoud. Next, we drive past the Ziz River and stop for a panoramic view of this valley. Finally, we drive back to Errachidia and drop you off at the airport or your hotel, concluding this memorable desert exploration.
