Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Upon your arrival in Marrakech, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your traditional riad in the medina. After settling in, spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant souks filled with colorful handicrafts and spices. As evening falls, visit the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where you can witness street performers, storytellers, and local food stalls. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, savoring traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Day 2: Marrakech – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to Chefchaouen, known for its stunning blue-painted buildings nestled in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, take time to explore this enchanting town on foot. Wander through the narrow alleys, admire the local crafts, and visit the Kasbah Museum to learn about the town’s history. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in a charming riad in the heart of Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Fes

Depart Chefchaouen after breakfast and head to Fes, one of Morocco’s most iconic cities. As you approach Fes, your guide will share insights into the city’s historical significance. Upon arrival, check in to your riad, then embark on a guided tour of the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the famous tanneries, and the Al Quaraouiyine University, considered the oldest existing university in the world. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at your riad.

Day 4: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis

After breakfast, take a day trip to Meknes, another imperial city. Explore the grand Bab Mansour gate and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Continue to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you can stroll among the well-preserved mosaics and ruins. After a guided tour, return to Fes for dinner and spend another night at your riad.

Day 5: Fes – Merzouga

Set off early for Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. The journey will take you through the stunning Middle Atlas region, with scenic stops at Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland,” and Azrou, famous for its cedar forests. Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon and prepare for an unforgettable camel trek. Ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness the sunset over the sand, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at a desert camp, enjoying traditional Berber music around the campfire.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, watch the sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga by camel. Then, drive towards the Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon known for its towering cliffs. Enjoy a leisurely hike through the gorge, taking in the stunning views and local flora. Afterward, continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its scenic landscapes and rock formations. Check in to a local hotel or guesthouse, where you can enjoy dinner and relax for the night.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Depart the Dades Valley and travel towards Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” En route, visit the spectacular Rose Valley and stop at Skoura to see the ancient Kasbah Amridil. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, explore the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah, an iconic fortress. Spend the night at a local guesthouse and enjoy dinner under the stars.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and begin the journey back to Marrakech, crossing the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon, giving you time to relax or revisit your favorite spots. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, experiencing the flavors and hospitality of Moroccan cuisine.

Day 9: Departure from Marrakech

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to explore more of Marrakech or shop for last-minute souvenirs. Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure, concluding your memorable journey through Morocco.
